PUNISHMENT FOR FLAG THEIFS

what should the punishment be for the flag theifs? i think that a personal apology to each person would be a great start and some kind of involvementwith every flag ceromony for the next few years. what does everyone else think?

What ever else, I would add a good long dose of community service. Give them some time to really think about what a foolish thing they were doing.

Maybe appearing before local Veteran org's like the American Legion and VFW &Amvets & offering them an apology would be a good start.

These are all great ideas !!! A huge dose of humility along with lessons in civic responsibility and pride.

Pass whatever judgement you want. If charges are pressed then a real judge, qualified in these matters, will make a ruling. Community service might be the ticket. However the real judgement/healing will take place between Dean and his son when Dean comes home.
