Hi, everyone up there -- and WE think it's cold here in Chicago!
Hey, we're coming up there to visit after being away for several years. We're looking for a nice, not-too-expensive family-oriented resort to stay at. We have some in mind -- but I thought it would be good to ask all of you what you would recommmend.
Thanks!

Hi, Nugget -- thanks for replying --
We'll be up there in mid July. Mainly, we're looking for a place to relax and reconnect. We don't fish, tho we'd like a place with boats or canoes available. We definitely want a playground, sandy beach, and a woodsy setting. We'd like a family-oriented place -- as I recall, some places cater mainly to fishermen. We don't mind humble housekeeping cottages, as long as the're clean. We're also on a budget.

Pine Pointe Resort is a good affordable place for a family. Sandy beach, boats on the premisis, volleyball court, horseshoes, friendly service, and plenty of room in their trailers.

Duck Point still there? I spent four or five years in a row out there.... loved it.... that was back in the 80's. Stayed in that dome one year.... but I liked the regular cabins better.... fishing was great.... they took us water skiing when ever we wanted ... and the food was fantastic....

Deer Lake Cottages. We haven't been there for two years, but as far as beautiful views of sunsets over a 300 acre lake with good fishing in a cottage with a fireplace, there's none better.
Five miles north of Tomahawk.

What if there were no hypothetical questions?

The Tomahawk Lodge is nice.
Life is not measured by the amount of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
