A Letter to the Editor in the Jan. 17, 2012, Tomahawk Leader.
My name is Keagan and I am eight years old. I am very sad that the warming house at the outdoor ice skating rink was burned. The kids who lit the garbage can thought it was really funny, but to me it’s not funny. The warming house is very special to me and to the whole community. I used the warming house a lot with my class at St. Mary’s School and with my family. During Christmas vacation, I went there with my whole family and it was a lot of fun.
Note: The Tomahawk Police Department is seeking information on the fire at the warming house in Pride Park, reported about 11 p.m. Jan. 7. The fire appears to have originated inside a trash can by the door. Two males in their early teens were seen in the area and their identity is sought. If you have information, call 715-453-2121 or 715-536-3726. Callers may remain anonymous. The building was termed a total loss.
