ATV's on 86

Postby Old Scout » Tue Oct 04, 2016 11:34 pm

I can't believe that anyone would even contemplate letting ATV's on State Hwy 86.

With the traffic of the employees to the mill, the pulp trucks and semi's in and out of the mill in addition to those who live in the area and travel the hwy every day this idea is crazy. Add in the traffic on hwy 86 from the west and going out of town and you are looking at an accident looking for a place to happen.

Also the city needs to consider that hwy 86 is the dividing line between the city and the town of Bradley. The south side of the hwy is in the town of Bradley and would be under their jurisdiction, therefore from hwy E. to town would have to be approved by the town as well as the city.

I also question that being a state hwy if the state would approve, so there would be another entity to take into consideration.

They need to dump this dumb idea.
The National Institutes of Health has just released the results of a $200 million research study completed under a grant to Johns Hopkins.
The new study has found that women who carry a little extra weight live longer than the men who mention it.

Definitely agree, an accident waiting to happen!
