Helen Irija Johnson passed away July 26, 2019, born April 30, 1924 in Brantwood, Wisconsin, the daughter of Maria and Kalle Korhonen. Helen enjoyed motor coach tours, square dancing, and gardening with her husband Donald during their 55 years of marriage. She also loved arts and crafts and going to the casino.
Predeceased by her parents; husband, Donald; brother, William; sisters, Ailie Orel, Irene Korhonen and Lempi Potenza; and nephew Joseph Orel.
Surviving are six nieces; five grand-nieces; three grand-nephews; and several great-grand nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Helen was held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Burial will take place at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Spirit, Wisconsin.
Helen will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
