The Tomahawk High School Cross-Country team is hosting the 18th annual Alumni 5K Scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 24. All alumni from Tomahawk are invited to participate in the event that begins at Bradley Park at 10 a.m.
This is a chance to meet the 2019 Hatchets and socialize afterwards at a brat feed held near the finish line. There is no cost, but alumni are encouraged to register for the race by calling Coach Z at 612-8975 and leave their name and graduating year. Commemorative medallions will be presented to all alumni finishers this year.
The THS cross country team also invites the public to take part in the final Summer Fun Run that departs from Veterans Memorial Park on Thursday, Aug. 16 at 6:30 p.m. Distances vary between three and five miles.
