My Gr-gr Uncle Orrickenner Keenan Welty was raised by Alonzo Weller (mother was Martha Post) in Amhurst and then married and moved to Tomahawk. I understand he was a pioneer of this area. Does anyone know ANYTHING about this man? He was prominent in the Tomahawk area in from 1860 through 1890's as I understand it. where can I find newsclips on this man for those years?
thanks for any input...wendy

You may want to check with our local library as they have newspapers on microfilm.

I found this on the Wis. history web site. Might be a place to start. An Obit. should have some of the information you are looking for.

Check out this link to the Tomahawk Pioneer Society. There is a Welty listed that has ties to O K Welty.

Robert Welty + Orrick Welty( O.K. Welty, SR.)Ancestor Names: Turner, Kapplin.
