A letter in the March 18, 2008, Tomahawk Leader:

To the Editor:

We would like to remind the voters of District 18 of the upcoming election on April 1. Our neighbor and friend, Curt Powell is seeking re-election as County Board supervisor. We find him to be a fair, intelligent and experienced man and would like to see him continue to serve our district and the people of Lincoln County.

Thank you,

A letter in the March 18 Tomahawk Leader:

Dear District 18 Voters:

Two years ago you elected Supervisor Curtis Powell as your voice on the Lincoln County Board of Supervisors. Shortly thereafter, his fellow board members elected him to the county board chair seat. Since that time he has successfully proven his ability to be a true leader.

Although I do not reside in your district, I am a taxpayer and a 16-year employee of Lincoln County. As such, I have witnessed his dedicated and knowledgeable approach to some of the difficult issues facing our county.

I would like to encourage you to continue to support this gentleman in District 18 as an individual who will continue to focus on the best interests of the taxpayers.

Please vote for Curtis Powell on April 1.

Sincerely,
Jean Labbus

As board chair, Mr. Powell has demonstrated his ability to lead this county in a positive direction. Although there have been some difficult issues, Mr. Powell has proven his commitment to the taxpayers through his ongoing efforts to protect the interests and integrity of this county.

Please re-elect Supervisor Curtis Powell on April 1.

Sincerely,
