Packers Vs. Colts
Packers Vs. Colts
How about those Packers. Everything they did they did right. Remember the hail Mary pass from Manning to the end zone that was tipped and knocked dead. Next play, a tipped pass just behind the scrimage line. Next play, a knocked down field goal attempt. Three in a row!!!! Go Pack

I agree with you Catfish - everything went their way & they played awesome! They deserved it- Rodgers was what, 15-19? Don't know the exact stat - nice to see them all playing together as a team. BTW - the New York Bretts lost, he was sacked twice & fumbled at least once. OH well, I guess people are maybe finally realizing he was not irreplaceable. GO PACK!

The wife and I were at the game and Lambeau Field was ROCKIN'!
The running game still needs some work but, man, watching that defense play was a whole lot of fun! Peyton kept whining to the refs trying to get some sympathy calls but they just laughed at him. I don't know that I'd put Al Harris back in either even if he does get healthy enough to play. His replacement is doing just fine. And Brandon Chillar showed Brady Poppinga what a faaaaaaast linebacker looks like.

Brian,
What would you think of Poppinga on "obvious" running downs & Chillar on "passing" downs? They both seem fast & I agree Chillar is a better coverage LB, but I think Poppinga might be a better run enforcer.

What if there were no hypothetical questions?

That's a tricky problem. Brady Poppinga has some pretty good pass rush skills so I'd hate to see him held out on passing downs just because he's not so good dropping back into coverage. You are correct though in that Poppinga is better against the run. Solution: probably continue what they have been doing. If the opponent features using their tight end a lot then keep Chillar in to contain him. If they are a run first team then go with Poppinga.

Re: Packers Vs. Colts
If the Packers could generate a pass rush, it wouldn't matter who they had for DBs. But I'd agree that I'm starting to feel comfortable with Williams as a starter & Blackmon as the Nickle. But Harris is an upgrade WHEN he gets his jams in as the WR starts their route.
