All the bars and restaurants that I know of in CA 'adjusted' to the no smoking ban with some initial gripping some years ago when it was first implemented. The first year the adjustment was a little hard but no business that I know of went out of business because of it or lost any business. The smokers simply found a solution by going outside as Floyd mentioned. It went from a kind-of-a-big-deal to nothing at all. It's just an accepted fact of life now and I think EVERYBODY is happy with it and happy to deal with it. Personally I really like coming home from the bar and feeling good but not stinking bad
And yes, the only place in CA that gets below zero were the Giant night games at Candlestick and any 49er game there. But that's slowly changing...the Giants have a nice warm cozy expensive and 'high brow' park in the City now. And the 49ers are negotiating to build a new stadium near San Jose in the city of Santa Clara...where the weather is always beautiful and expensive (of course).
And Floyd, only my rich uncle goes by the name of K-mart...I still go by the name of Ken. And I know what you're doing you dog
...but that's cool !!! I hope you and everyone have a great, safe, and fun Memorial Weekend. We're going to the Sunday lineup at the http://www.santacruzbluesfestival.com/
. Killer lineup on Sunday. If you all get out here sometime I'll take you...you'd love it.
