Only one word can describe that. "SICK"

Wow Mystic, where did you find something that gross. It's really sick. It is really something that we wouldn't have needed. Something like that should be buried and never forwarded again. I always said that it was a sick world and I'm a happy guy, but this didn't make me happy at all.

Mystic...don't know what you were thinking when you posted this. Probably not a good idea :(

Hilarious. There was an article about this in the Oshkosh paper. You have got to have a sense of humor about live and death. Eventually Plainfield will capitalize on this and start an "Ed Fest".

Quite the contrary. Plainfield will NEVER have a Ed Fest. The locals are very touched by the bad press and most of the Plainfield folk have had either a relative or a family friend killed by him or know some other resident that has. I personally know people from Plainfield and that is the fact. They DO NOT think the story is humorous at all, nor any way want to be glorified by his actions. The locals would rather forget that notoriety.

Right you are Catfish. Having grown up relatively close to Plainfield, I know it's something residents of the quiet little community would rather forget. My mother still shutters recalling driving through Plainfield at the exact moment the story was being reported on the radio news. I didn't watch the You Tube video, I will only imagine the poor taste.

It would have had to be a really inbred community for most of the Plainfield folk to have a relative killed by Gein to whom only two murders were attributed. The modern population of Plainfield has little or no connection to the incident.

Look how popular the Texas Chainsaw Massacres was and that too was in part based on Ed Gein. http://www.snopes.com/movies/films/chainsaw.asp

Nimble....read it carefully...one word at a time !!! It says, "most of the Plainfield folk have had either a relative or family member killed by him or know some other resident that has." OR KNOW SOME OTHER RESIDENT THAT HAS. That doesn't mean inbreeding. Get a grip and a handle on the language. Are you condoning the sick post? Also quite contrary that the new folk don't know about it or care. Just go down to Plainfield, get on the stage with the band, and make an announcement that the next song goes out to the city of Plainfield and home of Ed Gein. The plug will be pulled and the club owner will tell you if you ever say something like that again you will never play here again! Then he goes on to say, "see those two people sitting on the end of the bar; their grandmother was killed by him and I had to hold the man back from coming up here and breaking your microphone". True story. Been there. Our guitar player did that. He said he was truly sorry and the power was turned back on.

There seems to be a lot of tasteless stuff going around these days in the name of humor.

Some people just don't get the fact that not everything that some consider funny is in good taste, can strike a cord, and cause hurt or disgust to others.

Thanks for sharing the story Catfish, hope your point came across.
