1st question -- Haven't seen him do anything to deserve it
2nd question -- Don't have any interest in Moore's movies, he's an idiot

I was surprised that Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize since he hasn't done anything in the peace department yet. And the nominations had to be in in Feb, when he'd been President for something like 12 days. I think he too was surprised.
I don't waste my money on Michael Moore movies.

I am rather uninformed about Michael Moore. I saw his "Fahrenheit 911" movie which seemed a rant on his distaste for Bush and his administration. I didn't, for the lack of political knowledge, have any opinion about Moore from that. Then I saw his "Sicko" movie which seemed to be an enlightenment of our U.S.A.'s health industry, comparing it to other countries. That movie seemed to be very thought provoking. Now it seems many either don't waste money on his thoughts and interviews with people, or think he is an idiot and etc. etc. Will someone, or all give me something to base my thoughts on regarding Michael Moore.

Nobel Prize to Obama for Peace is a joke that is hard to digest. I wonder what were they thinking.
Re: Peace prize & movie
Maybe it's awarded by comparison. The last guy started two unnecessary, immoral wars without funding or funding mechanisms that will bleed the American Taxpayers for a century. And advocated torturing people as a means to an end.

it works for me, if it keeps some of our troops alive or prevents another 9-11 attack I am all in favor of it. At least they didn't cut off any heads like the terrorists do to our people !

Old Scout,
If we resort to immoral and unethical practices toward others, along with spying and destruction of our own freedoms and protections, do we really have anything left to protect?
We've done far more damage to ourselves since 9/11 in the name of security than any terrorist ever could have... I'm not saying we don't bring justice to those responsible but we now have two administrations that simply won't discuss the fact that wiretaps were done on a large scale, on American's, without a warrant. We have American's who's names wound up on a list and then have trouble flying for years because there was no process to have it removed. We removed many of the checks and balances the prevent our own police and government agencies from overstepping their bounds and infringing on everyone's rights.

Re: Peace prize & movie
OK, and next time a murder is committed in Tomahawk let's do the same thing. Who cares that under that level of duress the crap they'll tell you is about as useful as instructions to teach a pig to fly.
And it was so effective that next time lets use the same process for a rape investigation. Oh, then a stolen car, then shoplifting and finally on someone who didn't stop for a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
Any time a people lower themselves to someone else's level they've already lost.

The slippery slope fallacy. Weak.

One of the better quotes on this subject;
"As an American I am not so shocked that Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize without any accomplishments to his name, because America gave him the White House based on the same credentials."
