A letter in the May 25, 2010, Tomahawk Leader:
It will soon be that time again for fresh veggies, flowers and herbs. Starting Thursday, June 3, several vendors from the original Senior Center Tomahawk Farmers’ Market will be joining the Girl Scouts’ Flea Market at Washington Square to kick off what will hopefully be a successful joint venture. Come join us early at the park – some of us will be there before 7:30 a.m. – and spend the rest of the day in town.
Shopping at the joint Flea and Farmers’ Market will give you an opportunity to buy produce and flowers, pickles and sauerkraut, all locally grown in Lincoln County, along with all those flea market treasures. And, your patronage of the Washington Square Farmers’ Market will also support the local Girl Scouts organization.
See you there, and don’t forget your WIC and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program coupons!
