Tomahawk Leader - Photo Album

NEW POSTMASTER ALAN BISHOP was officially sworn in by Postal Operations Manager Lori Rogney Friday at the Tomahawk Post Office. Bishop has been serving as acting postmaster since January. A Tomahawk native, Bishop began his career with the Post Office as a mail handler in Eau Claire. In 1981, he became a city carrier and, in 1992, a supervisor in Chippewa Falls. He later served in Merrill, then as postmaster in Schofield, and in 2010 went to Minocqua. Being named postmaster in his hometown is special to Bishop not only because he loves the community, but because his father, who served with the Post Office for 30 years, did, too.
