Kyle M. Callahan, 17, of Tomahawk, passed away Monday, July 22, in Round Rock, Texas from a tragic accident while cleaning a firearm.

Kyle was born September 30, 2001 in Rhinelander. He graduated early in Round Rock, Texas and was enlisted in the United States Army. While in school in Tomahawk, Kyle had worked at Shopko and also for the family construction business. Kyle loved hunting, fishing, four wheeling, camping, hiking, snowmobiling, trout fishing, and doing anything outdoors. He also enjoyed board and video games, playing pool, darts, and lifting weights.

Kyle Callahan is survived by his father, Brad Callahan of Tomahawk; mother, Rose Swanson of Round Rock, Texas; brother, Calvin Callahan of Tomahawk; sister, Jamie Connor of Round Rock, Texas; paternal Grandparents, Shirley Callahan of Wausau; and Tom Callahan, also of Wausau. Kyle is further survived by 2 uncles, Bruce and Brian Callahan of Wausau, 2 aunts, Brenda Plautz of Wausau and Beth Callahan of Omro, Wisconsin, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed, loved, honored, but definitely not forgotten. You will be with us every day in our hearts.

A Celebration of Kyle Callahan’s life will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 1 until 4 p.m. at a family cabin at 12551 Bass Lake Road, Tripoli. Signs will be posted. Krueger Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Tomahawk, is assisting with arrangements.
