Gregory L. Tuyls, age 56, of Harshaw was born to eternal life on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019 under Ministry Home Hospice.

Greg was born on July 15, 1963 in Appleton to Roland & Vivian (Schommer) Tuyls. He was married to Brenda M. Lane on June 10, 1985 in Eagle River. Greg started working as a chef at Marty’s from 1982-1985. He later was a chef at Lane’s Cottage Inn for five years. Greg also worked as a tree trimmer for Asplundh for 25 years. He loved fishing, hunting and gardening. Greg also built his own log cabin, loved making chainsaw carvings and golfing. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the Cassian Fire Department for 30 years.

Greg is survived by his wife – Brenda of Harshaw, two sons – Zack (Rachelle) Tuyls of Hazelhurst and Jacob Tuyls of Harshaw; and his siblings – Roland Tuyls, Jr. of Appleton, Gar Tuyls of Portland, OR, Tim (Linda) Tuyls of Kaukauna, Bonnie Tuyls of Appleton, Patti (Ron) Fleming of Fulton, MS, Tina Betters of Appleton, Brian (Pam) Tuyls of Kaukauna, Ronald Tuyls of Menasha & Dan (Kristine) Tuyls of Menasha. Greg is further survived by his two grandsons – Bentley & Lincoln Tuyls. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister – Judi.

The Memorial Service for Greg Tuyls will take place at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Harshaw on Jan. 11, 2020. Visitation will take place from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Memorials made in Greg’s name are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
