Bernice V. Goldbeck-Weizenicker, age 98, longtime resident of Tomahawk, passed away on Jan. 16, 2020 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Bernice was born on Sept. 28, 1921 in Sylvan Grove, Kansas, to Ihno & Alvina (Cordsen) Janssen. She was first married to Henry Goldbeck and together, they had eight children. Henry preceded her in death in 1970. She later married Rueben Weizenicker. Bernice worked hard raising her children. She also helped work in their sawmill. In her free time, Bernice enjoyed crocheting.

Bernice is survived by her children – Kenith (Edith “Toolie”) Goldbeck of Tomahawk, Gloria Beckman of Merrill, Beverly (Doug) Berres of Weston, Roger Goldbeck of Tomahawk, Sharon (James) Adamski of Wausau, Gary (Darlene) Goldbeck of Fairchild and Lois Goldbeck of Tomahawk. She is further survived by 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren.

Bernice is preceded in death by her first husband – Henry, her second husband – Rueben, son – Glenn, seven siblings and one one granddaughter.

The Funeral Service for Bernice Goldbeck-Weizenicker took place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Janu. 21, 2020 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk. Pastor Stephen Gillet officiated. Visitation took place on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. She will be buried in Greenwood Cemetery in the spring.
