Gloria J. Hildebrand, age 79, lifelong resident of Tomahawk, passed away on Friday, Dec. 27, 2019, at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.

Gloria was born Nov. 26, 1940, in Tomahawk to the late Emery and Mary (Mitchell) Myers. Gloria grew up in Tomahawk, where she was a 1958 graduate of Tomahawk High School. She was married to Thomas Hildebrand on April 11, 1959, at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota; he survives.

Gloria was a stay-at-home mom and enjoyed embroidery, gardening, camping, and reading. She loved to travel, especially to their temporary winter home in Bullhead City, AZ.

Survivors include her Husband, Tom Hildebrand, of Tomahawk; two Sons, Tony Hildebrand, of Madison, and Steve Hildebrand, of Tomahawk; one Daughter, Karen Nease, of Tomahawk; two Brothers, Eugene (Barbara) Myers, of Wauwatosa, and Herbert Myers, of Mountain, WI; eight Grandchildren, Mike, Jared, Lucas, Erik, Phoenix, McClain, Cierra, and Nicholas; one Great-Grandson, Theodore; Sister-in-Law and Brother-in-Law, Judy and Jack Leggett, of Tomahawk; Sister-in-Law, Roberta Meyer, of Tomahawk; and Brother-in-Law, David Hildebrand, of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Emery and Mary; her Sister, Carol Bennett; and her Sister-in-Law, Patti Timm.

Private Graveside Services for Gloria Hildebrand will take place in the spring at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be given in Gloria’s name to the Tomahawk Public Library.
