Barbara A. Seavey, age 76, of Tomahawk, passed away surrounded by her family in her warm bed at her home on Jan. 19, 2020.

Barb was born on Feb. 4, 1943 in Mosinee to her parents John & Beatrice (LaFond) Rhineschmidt. She married Thomas Seavey on April 20, 1963. Barb was a hair dresser in Tomahawk for many years. She worked at Hair Affair, Great Northern Hair Company and later at Studio 302. Barb loved spending time in her flower garden. She enjoyed looking through seed catalogs and would start planning her flower beds well before the spring time. Barb also loved looking through cookbooks. She loved watching the birds in her backyard. Her time spent at home was the most precious to her, especially when her children and grandchildren were visiting.

Barb is survived by her husband – Tom; her three daughters – Jacqueline “Jackie” (Don) Nelson, Paula (Glenn) Randall and Laurie (Robin) Myre, all of Tomahawk; and seven grandchildren – Natasha Myre, Kate Gullickson, Nicholas Myre, Kendall Nelson, Sydney Lorang, Kyle Myre and Taylor Randall. She is further survived by her sister – Jean (Richard) Bailey of Rothschild. Barb is preceded in death by her parents. The Mass of Christian Burial for Barb Seavey took place at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Louis Maram Reddy officiated. Visitation took place in the church from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass at 2 p.m.

Krueger Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Tomahawk, is assisting the family with arrangements. You may view the full obituary and leave online condolences at www.kruegerfamilyfuneral.com.
