FOR THE TOMAHAWK LEADER

RHINELANDER – The Nicolet College Foundation will accept scholarship applications from Feb. 1 to Feb. 29 for the 2020-21 academic year at Nicolet.

The Foundation expects to award more than 250 scholarships ranging in value from $250 to $2,500, said Foundation Executive Director Heather Schallock.

“Scholarships can go a long way in helping students pay for college and we encourage anyone who plans to attend Nicolet next year to fill out the application,” Schallock said. “There are requirements, but the application process is fairly easy and straightforward. The Nicolet Foundation is here to assist students financially, and scholarships can make a big difference in students’ lives as they work their way to graduation.”

All applications must be submitted online at nicoletcollege.edu/scholarships. The application will be available starting Feb. 1.

Nicolet scholarships are available for both new and continuing students enrolling at the college for the upcoming Fall 2020 term, as well as the Spring and Summer terms of 2021. Funds are applied directly to the cost of tuition and books.

Both part-time and full-time students with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher are eligible to receive scholarships.

Schallock noted that the scholarships are available only because of the generosity of Foundation donors.

“They truly believe in the value of a college education,” she said. “They see how it can improve the lives of individuals and also benefit the communities in which graduates live and work.”

For more information about scholarships, contact the Nicolet College Foundation office at 715-365-4518, 1-800-544-3039, ext. 4518; TTY 1-800-947-3529 or 711 relay; or by email at hschallock@nicoletcollege.edu.
