Phyllis A. Marquardt, 81, of Somo Lake Drive, Tomahawk, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, at her home.

Phyllis was born March 14, 1938 in Chicago to Victor and Martha (Bloom) Forquer. She was married to Wallace Marquardt on Oct. 16, 1971. He passed away in 2005.

Phyllis was a schedule clerk for a phone company and retired in 1971. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church. Phyllis enjoyed traveling, reading, flower gardening, and feeding the birds. She was a very intelligent and independent woman.

Surviving Phyllis is a sister, Loraine (James) Garrison of Mundelein, Ill.; brothers, Chester Forquer of Chicago, and Robert Forquer of Hot Springs, Ark. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Phyllis Marquardt will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, 2020 at 11 a.m. from Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Susan Christian will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
