Carol A. Jahn, age 72, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020, at her home under the care of her family and Ascension at Home Hospice. Carol was born in Ely, MN, on Aug. 25, 1947, to the late Willard and Gladys (French) Smith. She was married to the love of her life, David Jahn, on July 25, 1964; he passed away in 2017.

Carol was born at a logging camp in Minnesota and moved to Tomahawk when she was a small child. After high school, she held several jobs, beginning at Golden Age Nursing Home. She then worked at Dyna-Kleen of Northern Wisconsin, and Quality Cleaners, and later as a custodian with the Tomahawk School District. Carol was a dedicated homemaker who was a wonderful wife to Dave, working side-by-side for 53 years, and a loving mom to all of her children. She was a talented knitter as well as a wonderful cook and baker. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. Above all, Carol cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Mark (Gina Auman) Jahn, of Tomahawk, Keith (Rachel) Jahn, of Harshaw, and Justin (Amanda) Jahn, of Rhinelander; one daughter, Sue (Paul) Campana, of Thompsonville, MI; one sister, Betty Ingman, of Tomahawk; and two sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Ruthie.

Carol is further survived by 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Willard and Gladys; her Husband, David; one daughter, Doreen; one grandson, Robbie; and five brothers.

Memorial Services for Carol Jahn will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 11 a.m., at Generations Funeral Home, Tomahawk. The family will receive friends for Visitation on Friday, March 6, at Generations, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., and again from 10 a.m. until the time of Services at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family. View Carol’s obituary and leave online condolences at generationsfuneral.com.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Colleen Collins, Ruthie Karrels, and Ascension at Home Hospice for providing Carol with such exceptional care.
