Mertice H. Felser, age 87, of Tomahawk passed away on Feb. 25, 2020 at Country Terrace Assisted Living Facility under the care of Ministry Home Hospice.

Mert was born on Oct. 26, 1932 in Tomahawk to Anslem and Eva (Schgdloski) Bushor. She was married to Carl R. Felser on Dec. 2, 1950 in Tomahawk – he preceded her in death on March 8, 1994. Mert and Carl lived in Tripoli. Mert moved into Tomahawk in 2000 and enjoyed the many friendships she made at the Alice Heinke apartments. She loved reading, listening to the radio and was an avid Packer fan. Mert was a member of the Tripoli Log Church. Mert enjoyed being a homemaker and mother. Later in life, she loved spending time with her grandsons. She loved music and her trips to Branson and Nashville. Mert also loved being part of the hunting cabin in Tripoli for the past 50 years and was a lifetime member of the Somo Fish and Game club. Mert was a breast cancer survivor.

Mert is survived by her children – Carl (Gladi) Felser of Tomahawk and Sue (Mick) Welke of Tripoli; four grandchildren – Scott (Jenni) Welke, Jason (Melanie Barry) Welke, Adam (Heather) Felser and Jake Felser, all of Tomahawk; six great-grandchildren – Alex, Colton, Tyler, Carson, Blakeand Ryan; and one great-great-granddaughter – Eulalie. She is preceded in death by her siblings – Calvin, Jerome, Arlotta, Lorraine and her twin brother – Pete.

The Funeral Service for Mertice “Mert” Felser took place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk. Pastor Susan Christian officiated. The Visitation took place from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Merrill Memorial Park at a later date.

Memorials made in Mert’s name are appreciated to Ties That Bind Us – 401 W. Mohawk Drive, Tomahawk, WI 54487.
