Tomahawk Chamber of Commerce Sign

Event was originally scheduled for March 21

FOR THE TOMAHAWK LEADER

TOMAHAWK – The Tomahawk Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 17th annual Taste of Tomahawk event has been postponed to Saturday, May 16, following Governor Tony Evers’ March 12 declaration of a public health emergency due to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The event, the Chamber’s largest of the year, was slated to be held Saturday, March 21, at Inshalla Country Club, N11060 Clear Lake Rd., Tomahawk.

“After the announcement by Governor Evers of a public health emergency yesterday and after consulting with our own local health department, it was determined the best course of action was to move the date of our event,” Tomahawk Regional Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jesica stated on March 13. “We have also secured an alternative event date in October if it is still deemed a public risk to hold our event in May.”

“Please stay tuned for more information about our new event date and details as we work with vendors and volunteers. If you are a vendor or volunteer we will be reaching out to you directly in the next several business days.  We thank you for your patience and understanding,” Witte said.
