FOR THE TOMAHAWK LEADER

NORTHERN WISCONSIN – Although churches have cancelled in-person services in the wake of the Safer at Home order issued late last month to help fight the spread of COVID-19, some have found ways to continue to offer their congregations the opportunity to worship.

Numerous churches in the Tomahawk area are posting or live streaming services online, allowing parishioners to worship virtually.

Grace Lutheran Church

Grace Lutheran Church is holding services online at 9 a.m. every Sunday at www.gracelutherantomahawk.org. Devotionals and newsletters are available for pickup inside the first door of the church.

Northland Bible Church

Northland Bible Church is posting sermons online at www.northlandbiblechurch.com and is offering Scripture and discussion on Facebook at www.facebook.com/northlandbiblechurch.

Northwoods Vineyard Church

Northwoods Vineyard Church is posting sermons, worship songs and announcements online at www.northwoodsvineyard.com.

Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church

Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church is posting services online for Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday morning. In addition, almost daily, Pastor Mark Gass is posting a small devotional video. View these services at www.redeemertomahawk.org.

Spirit Baptist Church

Spirit Baptist Church is live streaming services on Facebook at www.facebook.com/SpiritBaptistChurch/.

St. Mary’s, St. Augustine, and St. Francis of Assisi

St. Mary’s Catholic Church is streaming Mass on its Facebook page (www.facebook.com/St-Marys-Catholic-Parish-Tomahawk-WI-839422039773209/) at 9 a.m. Monday through Friday, 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. on Sunday. Holy Week services will be live streamed at 7 p.m. on Holy Thursday, 1 p.m. on Good Friday, 8 p.m. on Holy Saturday, and 9 a.m. on Easter Sunday. The celebration of the Triduum from the Cathedral of Christ the King will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/CathedralOfChristTheKing/ on Holy Thursday at 7 p.m., Good Friday at 12:30 p.m., Holy Saturday at 8:30 p.m., and Easter Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Masses streamed from other parishes within the Diocese of Superior can be found at www.catholicdos.org.
