TOMAHAWK – St. Mary’s School’s plan to return to classrooms this fall is currently in the works.

“I have met with the staff from the Tomahawk public school district, am in contact with the Lincoln County Health Department (LCHD) as well as with the Diocese of Superior, and have a committee of staff and parents working on our back to school plan,”  Principal Rita Lee stated.

She said the committee, which will meet this week, hopes to put together a “loose plan” that will be reviewed by staff, parish council, LCHD and the Diocese throughout July.

Lee noted that plans will have to be “very flexible” due to the potential for the change in the local COVID-19 situation.

“We hope the plan will be available to the public at the beginning of August,” she said.
