Beth Anne Baus Connaway passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28 in Marietta, Ga. She was 42 years old.

Beth is forever loved by her best friend and husband Michael, mother Dawn, brother Jed, sister Gretchen, father-in-law Mike, mother-in-law Linda, brother-in-law Matt, sister-in-law Faith, four adored nephews, D.J., Jack, Maxwell and Eli and her beloved dogs Eddy and Olive.

Beth is preceded in death by her father Dan.

Beth attended Tomahawk High School, received her bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and master’s degree from Vanderbilt University, graduating at the top of her class.

One of Beth’s greatest joys was helping others and dedicated her life’s work to be a psychiatric nurse practitioner in Wisconsin, Illinois, Utah and Georgia. She helped so many patients begin their mental health journey.

Beth was always fueled by challenge and her approach to a rare cancer diagnosis was no exception. She left all that loved her a lesson in how to do hard things and to forever stay grounded in hope.

Beth was a lifelong lover of running, competing in two marathons, including crushing the New York City Marathon one year after her diagnosis.

Beth didn’t lose this race, she had so many wins; she won eternal life.

Memorial donations in honor of Beth may be made to the Brave Like Gabe Foundation at www.bravelikegabe.org.

A future celebration of her life is to be planned.
