Carol A. Kartz, 84, passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020 at Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice in Wausau.

Carol was born on Sept. 10, 1936 in Milwaukee to Louis and Cecelia (Dimmick) Rick. She married Norbert E. Kartz on May 5, 1956, also in Milwaukee. Norb passed away in 2009. Norb and Carol moved to Tomahawk in 1986 from Milwaukee. She was formerly employed at Northbay Pharmacy, Dairy Queen, and was a Watkins representative. She was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Carol loved to sing and was a member of the Resurrection Choir and sung at church services in our local nursing homes.

Surviving Carol Kartz are her children, Linda (Dave) Ramthun of Wausau; Larry (Michele) Kartz of Wauwatosa; Michael (Donna) Kartz of Wauwatosa; Rick (Michelle) Kartz; and Dan (Sara) Kartz all of Milwaukee. She is further survived by a brother, Michael (Sue) Rick of Tomahawk; two sisters, Jeannette Sulewski of Milwaukee; and Sharon (Bill) Borkowski of Oconomowoc, Wis. Carol also had eight grandchildren, Jason, Nate, Austin, Emily, Katelyn, Makayla, Cecelia, and Louis.

Mass of Christian Burial for Carol Kartz will of on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church at 12 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at noon. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
