Delores E. Wogsland

Delores E. Wogsland, age 85, of Tomahawk passed away peacefully at her home on Oct. 20, 2020 under the care of Aspirus Home Hospice.

Delores was born on July 21, 1935 in Tomahawk to Walter and Mayme (Crass) Koth. She was married to Robert Wogsland on July 21, 1956 in Tomahawk. Together, they have two children. Delores worked as a medical receptionist for Drs. Baker and McCormick from 1953 to 1956 and then a cashier at Kall’s IGA Supermarket from 1969 to 1991. She enjoyed baking, crafts, knitting and crocheting. She loved playing cards, reading and working on crossword puzzles. Delores especially loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Delores is a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tomahawk.

Delores is survived by her husband – Robert of Tomahawk; daughter – Laurie (Rev. Dr. Brian) Friedrich of Seward, Neb.; Son – James (Deborah) Wogsland of Cottage Grove, Wis.; five grandchildren – Micah Friedrich, Leah (Phil) Vogel, Phil Friedrich, Jason Wogsland and Julia (Andrew) Meier; and one great grandchild – Camden Vogel. Delores is further survived by two brothers – Robert (Evelyn) Koth of Merrill and Floyd (Elaine) Koth of Tomahawk; and one sister-in-law – Gail Wogsland.

She is preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers – Walter, Harold, Ellsworth, Herman, George, Oscar, Herbert and Donald; and two sisters – Dorothy and Mabel.

In honor of Delores’ wishes, a private memorial service and graveside committal will take place at a later time. Rev. Dr. Brian Friedrich, Delores’ son-in-law, will officiate.
