Petal It Forward: Trig’s Floral & Home’s flower bouquets create smiles in Tomahawk

For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – Trig’s Floral & Home associates on  hit the streets Wednesday, Oct. 21 to hand out free floral bouquets to random people. Each person received two bouquets— one to keep for themselves and one to pass on to a coworker, family member, or even an unsuspecting stranger.

“Given the isolation brought on by COVID-19, Petal It Forward is needed now more than ever,” a release from Trig’s stated. “The Kaiser Family Foundation released a tracking poll in July 2020 showing that most American adults — 53 percent — believe that the pandemic is taking a toll on their mental health.”

Trig’s Assistant Store Director Melanie Juedes surprised Lesley Likwarz with two bouquets of flowers, one to keep and another to give to someone else.

Trig’s Floral & Home leader Carmen Carstensen hands two bouquets of flowers to an unsuspecting diner in downtown Tomahawk.

“This year, more people have been buying flowers for themselves,” said Audrey Glodowski of Trig’s Floral & Home. “People love to get them, so we wanted to create random smiles and give people a chance to do the same for someone else.”

Trig’s Floral & Home locations in Wausau, Stevens Point, Rhinelander, Minocqua and Eagle River also participated in Petal It Forward last week.
