TOMAHAWK – The Tomahawk Police Department is seeking assistance in funding for the department’s next K9 unit.

“Vali has been on the streets for 7 years and is scheduled to retire later this year,” a post on TPD’s Facebook page said. “A special thanks to Officer Tollefson and K9 Vali for the dedication over the years.”

The department has selected the next handler and K9, which will be announced at a later date.

Those wishing to assist the department with a contribution may mail them to the Tomahawk Police Department, Attn. Chief Elvins/K9, 219 W. Somo Ave., Tomahawk, Wis., 54487.
