Clarence D. Smith, Jr., age 61, of Tomahawk, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital. “Junior” was born in Tomahawk on Nov. 14, 1959, to the late Clarence and Rosalie (Steinbach) Smith.

Junior grew up in Tomahawk, where he began helping his dad in the woods at a young age. He attended Tomahawk High School and later began employment with the City of Tomahawk, where he worked for many years. Junior was currently employed at Industrial Packaging Corporation. He enjoyed taking trips to the casino, helping his brother, Jim, in the pulp truck, country music, polka music, and watching wrestling. Above all, he loved spending time with his siblings and extended family. Junior had a heart of gold, a contagious smile, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Survivors include his girlfriend of 30 years, Linda Hammett, of Illinois; one daughter, Holly (Robert) Long, of Oklahoma; three brothers, Dennis (Kathie) Smith, Earl (Gail) Smith, and Jim (Julie) Smith, all of Tomahawk; and three sisters, Cindy (Leo) Crowell, Kathy (Paul) Kurth, and Roseann Barr, of Tomahawk.

Junior is further survived by his grandchildren, Cheyenne and Jonathan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Rosalie; his brother, Randy; his brother-in-law, Ronnie Barr; and his nephew, Joel Jones.

In following with COVID social distancing guidelines, private services will be held. Burial will take place at Prairie Rapids Cemetery in the Town of Nokomis. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory, Tomahawk, is assisting the family. View Clarence’s obituary and leave online condolences at www.generationsfuneral.com.
