Dora ‘Dickie’ T. Poderski
Dora “Dickie” T. Poderski, age 96, of Tomahawk, passed away on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at Milestone Senior Living under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. Dickie was born in Dorchester, Wis., on July 17, 1924, to the late Fred and Mary (Sprotte) Denzin. She was married to Olgierd “Algy” Poderski on Feb. 21, 1947; he passed away in 2013.
Dickie graduated from high school and met and married the love of her life, Algy. She was employed as a clerk for Eastman Kodak in Chicago, Ill., for 35 years before retiring and moving to Tomahawk in 1980. She and Algy bowled on a couple’s league in their younger years. She enjoyed being outdoors gardening and loved to crochet in her free time.
Survivors include one sister, Arlene Schoettler, of Tomahawk. Dickie is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary; her husband, Algy; her brothers, Ray Denzin, Alvin Denzin, and Arno Denzin; and three sisters, Mildred Piech, Viola Cure, and Elsie Venzke.
In accordance with COVID social distancing guidelines, a private family service will take place. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in the spring.
