George A. Kahn, age 78, lifelong resident of Tomahawk, passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital, just two weeks after his loving wife, Sharon. George was born in Tomahawk on Sept. 13, 1942, to the late Clarence and Esther Kahn. He graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1960 and later entered the National Guard.

George worked at Owens Illinois for some time before taking over his father’s tavern. He was a familiar face to many, having owned and operated the iconic “Kahn’s Bar” for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and traveling with Sharon and friends.

Survivors include his sister, Judy Redmond, of Tomahawk; and special friends, Bill, Jodi, and Billy Jelinek, also of Tomahawk.

George leaves behind a community of friends who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Esther, and his wife, Sharon.

In accordance with George’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory, Tomahawk, is assisting the family. View George’s obituary and leave online condolences at www.generationsfuneral.com.
