Otto Jon Yirkovsky, 73, a longtime Tomahawk resident, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 in Kenosha.

Otto was born in Tomahawk on Nov. 15, 1947 to Otto Charles and Marie Agnes Augusta Yirkovsky. He was formerly married to Donna Hudson. They had two children together, Zachary Otto and Kelley Marie. Otto was a well-known mason in the area and had worked for Johnson Brothers and Charlie Mielke. He had served in the National Guard and enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cribbage, and had been a member of the Kwahamots.

Survivors include his son, Zach (Jill) Yirkovsky of Elmhurst, Ill.; a sister, Lois Matthiesen of Milwaukee; a brother, Wayne Harris of Colorado; and three grandchildren, Lucy, Lyla, and Drew. Otto was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kelley, and sister, Ada Benda.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Otto’s life is being planned for the summer of 2021.
