Candace Eileen Pelon

Candace Eileen Pelon, age 74 of L’Anse, Mich., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital in L’Anse, Mich.

She was born July 19, 1946 in Tomahawk, daughter of Eli and Ruth (July) Myers. Candy met Ronald Pelon while waitressing at Romans Restaurant. They got married in 1964. She worked at Cannery in Merrill, Wis., in the laundry room at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk, Rolley’s Cleaning Service and Fire damage in Tomahawk, Security Guard at Mosinee Paper mill, Liberty house in L’Anse, and babysat for many kids.

Candy enjoyed country music, talking on the phone with her family and friends. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and her fur babies.

Surviving are her son Steve (Tomaura) Pelon of Dallas, Tex., daughter Roni Sue (Hudson) Disney of Baraga; grandchildren, Chris (Homar) Pelon of Grand Rapids, Mich., Amber Pelon of L’Anse, EJ Disney of Detroit, Mich., Dustin Disney of Baraga; great grandchildren, Hunter Pelon, Riley Pelon, Trinity Pelon, Navaia Pelon, Kyleigh Swartz, Olivia Disney, Avery Disney; brother Victor Myers of Tomahawk; sisters, Janet Hoffman of Tomahawk, Nancy (Bill) Marvin of Tomahawk; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and in-laws.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Ronald Pelon; daughter Connie Marie; and numerous relatives.

A small celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Jacobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
