As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Dec. 28:

Deputies and Tomahawk firefighters closed US Hwy. 51 on Christmas Eve twice for about an hour after crashes in Oneida County left the roadway blocked. The incidents occurred in the noon hour and again right after 6 p.m.

A Gleason man, 59, will be summoned into court on a felony charge of bail jumping after a court ordered home monitor showed he was drinking. Multiple breath tests performed by the deputy showed the presence of alcohol.

Two people were injured following a single-vehicle rollover Saturday night on County Rd. J west of State Rd. 17 in the Town of Russell. Both occupants were transported by Merrill EMS to Aspirus Wausau Hospital. The Town of Russell Fire Department and First Responders assisted on the scene.

Six people reported striking deer last week.
