Lucille M. Hill, age 93, of Tomahawk, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at Country Terrace in Tomahawk.

Lucille was born on Jan. 9, 1927 in Chicago, Ill., to Justin and Mary (Baka) Mesun. She was married to William “Chippy” Hill on Sept. 3, 1949 at the Congregational Church in Tripoli. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1995. She was an active member at the Congregational Church in Tripoli, where she served as a deaconess. Lucille was an officer in Community Club and was a member of Tri-County Neighbor Club. Lucille worked at the United States Post Office for 26 years before retiring in 1987.

Lucille is survived by her daughter – Barbara Palmquist of Lexington, Ky.; daughter-in-law – Jean (Bob) Hladish of Tripoli; three grandchildren – Michael (Amber) Hill, Tyler Palmquist and Noelle (Matt) Palmquist Hoyt; and two great-grandchildren – Daisy Jane and Delta Danielle Hoyt. Lucille is further survived by her sister – Anita Mesun Zubor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son – James and son-in-law – David Palmquist.

Lucille will be buried next to her husband, Chippy, in the Somo Cemetery. The family will plan a celebration of life in the springtime.
