RHINELANDER – The Nicolet College Foundation will accept scholarship applications from Feb. 1 to March 1 for the 2021-2022 academic year at Nicolet.

The Foundation expects to award 250 scholarships ranging in value from $250 to $2,500, said Foundation Executive Director Heather Schallock.

“Scholarships are a great way to help students pay for college and we encourage anyone who plans to attend Nicolet next year to fill out the application,” Schallock said. “The application process is fairly straightforward and completing the general application automatically allows students to apply for most of our scholarships at once. The Nicolet Foundation is here to assist students financially and scholarships can make a big difference in students’ lives as they work their way to graduation.”

Early Childhood Education student Stephanie Larson said she was highly appreciative of the scholarship she received for the current term at Nicolet.

“This couldn’t have come at a better time and goes a long way in putting some positive in a rough year,” Larson said.

All applications must be submitted online at www.nicoletcollege.edu/scholarships. The application will be available starting Feb. 1.

Nicolet scholarships are available for both new and continuing students enrolling at the college for the upcoming Fall 2021 term as well as the Spring and Summer terms of 2022. Funds are applied directly to the cost of tuition and books. New students will need to have Nicolet College credentials to log into the scholarship system, which requires scholarship applicants to apply to Nicolet College first.

Both part-time and full-time students with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher are eligible to receive scholarships.

Schallock noted that the scholarships are available only because of the generosity of Foundation donors.

“They truly believe in the value of a college education,” she said. “They see how it can improve the lives of individuals and also benefit the communities in which graduates live and work.”

The Foundation will provide scholarship application tips throughout February on social media. Like and follow Nicolet College Foundation on Instagram and Facebook to find these tips.
