Stacy L. Higgins, age 43, of Tomahawk, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at her parents’ home. Stacy was born in Camp Pendleton, Calif., on Aug. 25, 1977, to Steven and Veralin (Baars) Higgins.

Stacy and her family moved to Tomahawk when she was a toddler. She attended Tomahawk High School and entered the workforce, beginning employment at Golden Age Nursing Home. More recently, she was the familiar, friendly face at McDonald’s, where she had been employed for many years. Stacy enjoyed watching the Packers and NASCAR, and also bowling, reading books, and working on crossword puzzles and latch hooks. She loved spending time camping with her family. Stacy’s parents were blessed to have spent the last week with her, sharing wonderful moments and making beautiful memories to cherish.

Survivors include her parents, Steven and Veralin Higgins, of Tomahawk; two daughters, Jessica Carter, of Michigan, and Alyssa VanBuren, of Greenville, Wis.; her significant other, Victor Brown, of Tomahawk; three sisters, Nicole (Mark) Brown, of Tomahawk; Tasha (Terry Hebert) Higgins, of Greenwood, Wis.; and Mary Jo Whitford, of Tomahawk. Stacy is further survived by her nieces, Shanté, Atlanta, Cassie, and Liberty; and her nephews, Marcus, Lincoln, Steven, Aremis, and Jaxton.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Frances Higgins, and her maternal grandparents, Charles Baars, Monica Baars, and Eileen Dalahoe; and her uncles, Robert Baars, Daniel Baars, and Tony Dennison.

A private family service for Stacy Higgins will be held with Rev. Larry Mathein officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and announced at that time. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory, Tomahawk is assisting the family. View Stacy’s obituary and leave online condolences at www.generationsfuneral.com.
