Deloris I. Olson

Deloris I. Olson, age 88, of Tomahawk, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021 at her home.

Deloris Ione was born Oct. 30, 1932 in Seeley, Wis., the daughter of Leonard and Edna (Fuller) Fallis. When Deloris was only two years old, her biological father passed away. Edna remarried William Huff, who raised Deloris as if she was his very own. Deloris was raised in Seeley and attended the school house in Seeley until going to Hayward High School. After graduating from Hayward High School, she attended schooling for nursing. Deloris was married to Elton Wilson on Aug. 2, 1952 and had four daughters together. Deloris was a homemaker raising her family and then started doing some nurse’s aide work. Deloris was joined in marriage to Donald Julian Olson in 1968 in Milwaukee, Wis. Together they moved the family to Stevens Point and then Waupaca, Wis., where Deloris began work as a teacher’s aide. Deloris and Don moved to Marshfield and then New Richmond, Wis., where they did in-home care. Upon retiring, Deloris and Don moved to Seeley, where they spent several years before moving to Tomahawk. Deloris had a love of music and could play piano and organ by ear. She also enjoyed singing, dancing, water skiing and attending church.

Deloris is survived by her husband, Don; four daughters, Sherry (Bryan) Beaudreau of Eagle River, Wis., Susan (Sam) Wilson Borsellino of Cable, Wis., Dorleen (John) Pickett of Cable, and Janet Olson of Tomahawk; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great -randchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Bill (Lois) Huff of Sebring, Fla., Earl Huff of Delray Beach, Fla., Brad Huff of Seeley; one sister, Darlene Chaney of Spooner, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step father, William Huff; and one niece, Brenda.

A funeral service was held for Deloris at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church in Seeley. Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in the Seeley Riverside Cemetery.
