On Jan. 16, 2021, surrounded both physically and spiritually by his loved ones, just before a new day was to begin God wrapped his arms around Ron so he could begin his final journey without any pain. God answered Ron’s prayers to be able to stay at home during his final fight with COPD and heart problems.

He was born in Tomahawk, Wis., to Julius and Roselle Crass, along with his twin brother, on his dad’s birthday.

Ron was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and Papa to all his grandchildren and is survived by his wife Alicia, daughters Deborah (Don) (Spokane, Wash.), Patricia (Hansville, Wash.), and Darla (Hansville, Wash.), two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren (Spokane), brothers Don (Kathy) (Charleston, S.C.), Jerry (Judy) (Tomahawk), sister Sandy (Russ) (Wausau, Wis.), and many loved relatives and close friends.

Ron will be reunited with his much loved son Gary, parents Julius and Roselle, brother Dick and sister Barbara.

The family extends a special thank you for the support and care given by Dr. Todd Green and Hospice of Spokane.

Ron had requested no services due to COVID-19. Interment at Washington State Veterans Cemetery, Medical Lake, Wash., will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers and to honor Ron, the family is requesting any donations to be made to Hospice of Spokane, Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
