TOMAHAWK – The School District of Tomahawk’s new drive-thru food service hours are set to begin Thursday, April 1, according to a release from the district.

“The USDA has given school districts the ability to provide free meals to all children 18 years and younger through the rest of the 2020-2021 school year,” the district said. “Students enrolled in virtual learning, middle school and high school students on remote learning days, any quarantined students, and other community children ages 18 years and younger can utilize our drive-thru service.”

Six free breakfasts and six free lunches may be picked up 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, April 6
  • Monday, April 12
  • Monday, April 19
  • Monday, April 26
  • Monday, May 3
  • Monday, May 10
  • Monday, May 17
  • Monday, May 24
  • Tuesday, June 1

“To maintain social distancing and make this service as convenient as possible, we will have drive-thru pick up using the driveway in the front entrance to Tomahawk Middle School in the mornings on the days offered,” the district noted.

For more information, contact Food Service Director Dustin Tessmer at 715-453-2106 ext. 310 or Tessmerd@tomahawk.k12.wi.us.
