Workshop to shine light on life on Lac du Flambeau Native American Reservation

LAC DU FLAMBEAU – Dillman’s Creative Arts Foundation (DCAF), Lac du Flambeau, Wis., is offering a four-day workshop from Sunday, June 20 to Wednesday, June 23 that will help attendees “understand life on the Lac du Flambeau Native American Reservation now, in the past and in the future.”

The four-day workshop will feature Native American food, artwork, jewelry, crafts, stories, poetry, dance, games, film showings and more.

“Local art leagues, plus leagues throughout the country, have been given an honorarium for a member to attend this workshop, which is entitled Woodland Native American Arts and Culture,” a release from DCAF explained. “However, participants who would like to understand life on the Native American Reservation in Lac du Flambeau, Wis. are welcome as well.”

The 11 instructors will begin their programs on Sunday, June 20 at 5 p.m. and will continue their presentations until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23.

The four-day workshop will feature Native American food, artwork, jewelry, crafts, stories, poetry, dance, games, film showings and more.
