Gail D. Menebroeker

Gail D. Menebroeker, 82, of Thomas Road, Tomahawk, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Gail was born Feb. 26, 1939 in Tomahawk to Francis and Daisy (Bushmann) Gano. She was united in marriage to Carl Menebroeker on Aug. 3, 1957 also in Tomahawk. Aside from raising her children, Gail worked outside her home as a CNA at Golden Age Nursing Home for 12 years. She was a member of the Red Hatters and loved playing cards, especially Jokers. Gail enjoyed camping, traveling and was an avid Packer fan. She was a dog lover and cherished her time spent with friends, family and grandkids.

Surviving Gail is her husband of just short of 65 years – Carl; children – Debbie (John) Simpson of Texas, Jim (Debbie) Menebroeker of Tomahawk, Linda (Keith) Johnson of Tomahawk and Tammy Menebroeker of Wausau. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren with the 16th on the way; and her siblings – Jim (Sandy) Gano of Irma, Patrick Gano of Terra Haute, Ind., and Mark (Chris) Gano of Merrill.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, daughter – Sheryl Downing, granddaughter – Heather, grandson – Jesse, and a sister – Sharon Jones.

The Funeral Service for Gail Menebroeker was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Deacon Dave Bablick officiated. Burial followed in Bethany Cemetery in Irma. The family received friends at St. Mary Church Friday morning from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.
