Nicholas Szymanski, age 21, of Tomahawk, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2021.

Nick was born in Rhinelander on Sept. 15, 1999 to Neal Szymanski and Jamie Jaecks. He was a 2018 graduate of Tomahawk High School where he played football and baseball. Nick loved fishing, sucker grabbing and duck hunting with his dog. He enjoyed sports and NASCAR. He was currently employed for Foley’s Tree Service.

Nick is survived by his father – Neal (Tracy Rasmussen) Szymanski of Marathon City; his mother – Jamie (Tom) Thums of Medford; sister – ShaeLee (Casey Myre) Szymanski of Tomahawk; step-brothers – Blake (Christine) Thums and Brock (Aly) Thums, both of Medford; maternal grandparents – Gary and Sheila Jaecks of Tomahawk. Nick is further survived by his step-grandparents – Russ and Barb Thums of Medford; godparents – his Aunt Lynn and Uncle Carl Favors of Tomahawk and Uncle Rod (Aunt Debby) Szymanski of Marathon; and his dog – Marge.

Nick is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents – Edwin (Lydia) Szymanski and Florence Szymanski and his dog – Chloe.

The Funeral Service for Nick Szymanski took place at noon on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk. Pastor Mark Gass officiated. Visitation took place from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. Burial took place in Spirit Falls Cemetery.
