LINCOLN COUNTY – The unemployment rate in Lincoln County increased slightly from May to June, the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) said last week.
According to preliminary DWD data, Lincoln County’s unemployment rate in June was 4.2%. In May, the county’s unemployment rate was 3.6%.
DWD said unemployment rates in all of Wisconsin’s 72 counties have declined over the past year.
Although unemployment rates declined in all of the state’s metropolitan areas over the last year, all 12 metropolitan areas saw an increase from May to June.
Wisconsin’s 34 largest cities also saw unemployment rates decline over the past year, but rise from May to June.
