Lincoln County Supervisor Patricia Voermans to discuss public service at LWVNOW meeting

For the Tomahawk Leader

NORTHERN WISCONSIN – Next month’s League of Women Voters of the Northwoods (LWVNOW) meeting will focus on public service.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held virtually on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m., and will feature a panel of speakers who have run for office at various levels of government.

“Some panelists were successful in their run, and some were defeated in their attempt,” LWVNOW said.

Panelists will include Lincoln County District 18 Supervisor Patricia Voermans; Chris Meier, who opposed Rob Swearingen for State Representative in 2018; and Ashley Roach, Arbor Vitae Town Board Supervisor.

“The panelists will explain what motivated or inspired them to run for office, how they navigated the process to file for candidacy, how they campaigned and what they learned from the experience,” LWVNOW stated.
