Mary Catherine Furman, age 95, of Tomahawk, passed away on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021 at Riverview Health Services.

Mary was born on March 25, 1926 to the late John and Mary (Cadigan) Furman of Montello, Wis. Mary was a school teacher. She started her career in a one-room rural school house and retired from St. Mary Catholic School.

Mary is survived by her brothers – John (Carol) Furman of Montello and S. Mark Furman of Ohio; sisters – Teresa (Fay) Gabriel of Illinois, Agnes (James) Abraham of Ripon and Patricia (James) Leidy of Washington. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, brother – Thomas Furman and sister – Bernice Nelson.

Graveside services for Mary Furman will take place privately at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Briggsville, Wis.

In lieu of flowers, make a donation in Mary’s name to your favorite charity.
