Darrell L. “Bud” Spieth, 73, passed away on Sept. 28, 2024, in Tripoli, Wis. Bud was born on April 13, 1951, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Darrell and Louise Spieth, both of whom preceded him in death. Bud graduated from South Side High School in1970. After working for years in Fort Wayne, he moved to Milwaukee and worked for Briggs and Stratton. In later years, he moved to Tripoli, Wis., where he enjoyed his land, living life on his own terms. He liked to brag/complain to his family about the extreme weather he experienced in northern Wisconsin, but everyone knew he loved living there. Bud enjoyed motorcycle culture and attended the Fall Ride in Tomahawk and several other bike rallies. He enjoyed using his wit to agitate his friends and family members.
Buddy had many friends in the Tripoli area. The family thanks John, Sandy, and George for being Buddy’s special friends and providing vital support over the years, particularly during his recent illness.
Bud is survived by three sisters: Kay Mikeworth of Indianapolis and Charlotte (David) Wolfe and Sandra (Jerry) Hetrick of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Danny Mikeworth. Bud is also survived by four nephews, three nieces, and a host of great-nephews and great-nieces.
At Bud’s request, there will be no services.
